Task 1 of 3
In D2:D6, round the discounted price to whole dollars.
Lesson theory
=ROUND(number, digits)rounds by the usual math rule (0.5 rounds up);=ROUNDUP(…)and=ROUNDDOWN(…)always round up or down;=MROUND(number, multiple)rounds to the nearest multiple: to 5, to 50, to 5 minutes.
The number of digits can be negative: =ROUND(12345,-2) gives 12,300, which is rounding to hundreds.
Important: a number format such as "0.00" only shows fewer decimals, while ROUND changes the value itself. For money in calculations, use ROUND.
